Steps:

It works hard, plays hard, and goes everywhere with you. But with all that use, certain laptop parts can wear out. Even systems that still run perfectly well on the inside may suffer from problems on the outside. The most visible signs of aging and abuse are often found on the keyboard; keys may have stopped working after one or two accidentally spilled beverages, or cosmetic flaws, such as rubbed out letters, may have started to appear. But you don't need to replace your entire laptop, just the keyboard.
To find the right keyboard for your system, start by checking with the laptop manufacturer to see if they sell replacements. If not, spare part dealers, can help. This site has an online tool for locating parts. Simply enter the manufacturer, model line, series, and model number of your notebook. (eBay is another good source for new or used parts.) We found a keyboard for our aging Lenovo ThinkPad Z61t for $60.
Depending on the model and age of your laptop, a replacement can cost as little as $20 or as much as $130. Prices vary, so shop around for the best deal. Research a seller's history carefully, and check the return policy before you complete your purchase.
Once you have the replacement keyboard, swapping it for your old one will be easy. The entire process should take only 15 to 20 minutes.

How to Repair an Electric Rice Cooker at home

An electric rice cooker is a great appliance that is often used to save a lot of time and effort in preparing quick meals after a long day. By using an electric rice cooker the user can quickly make some rice without worrying of overcooking or burning. Many times people will set up the rice cooker in place of pasta or potatoes as a side dish. Like many electrical appliances the electric rice cooker can have some problems as it ages. There are electrical problems that surface as the appliance gets some age on it. Many owners will simply throw it in the trash and buy a new one. However, with the right types of components a do it yourselfer can easily fix their rice cooker for prolonged use.

Step 1 - Unplug Power Cord from Wall

Before you start to work on the electric rice cooker you will want to make sure it is not plugged into any power source.

Step 2 - Remove Cover

Take the covering dish of the electric rice cooker and place it aside. You will also need to remove the burner plate and inner bowl. This will allow you to get to the inner parts of the cooker.

Step 3 - Remove Base of Cooker

On the bottom of most electric rice cookers there are some tabs, or screws, that hold the base together. Remove these screws, or fold back the tabs, so that you can remove the base.

Step 4 - Test Heating Element

The cooker's heating element may not be working properly. Disconnect the heating wire from the terminal and test it with the multimeter. Set the meter to read Ohms and touch the wire to the terminals. If it reads "0" ohms the wire is fine.

Step 5 - Test Resistor

If the heating element is fine, then the next space to test is the resistor. Use the multimeter again on the same setting and touch the probes to the resistor. If the reading comes out to 20 Ohms then the resistor is fine. If not, then you will need to replace it.

Step 6 - Check and Clean Contacts

Another problem that is associated with older electric rice cooker appliances is that the switch contacts can become dirty or corrode. When this happens they will not allow a solid current to flow when the switch is pressed to star the cooker. With the base removed, check the contact areas. Check to see if they are burned. If so, you will need to replace these contacts. If not, then use some electrical contact cleaner and a clean rag.

How do i connect laptop to tv

Your laptop screen is not the best medium for watching movies on, unless you enjoy squinting at a cramped display, of course. Thankfully, piping digital media - online and off - to your TV has never been easier, so whether you're looking for the right cable to physically connect your laptop and TV, or you want to investigate wirelessly streaming content to your television, you've come to the right place.

What do I need to connect my laptop to my flat-screen TV?

All flat-screen TVs offer at least one HDMI port on the back for connecting to external devices, and the same is true for practically all laptops manufactured in the last five or six years. HDMI is by far the best cabled solution available because not only does it support Full HD (and beyond) signals, but you only need one cable to carry both video and audio from your laptop to your TV.
You could spend a small fortune on expensive HDMI cables, but the truth of the matter is that for HD video transmitted from your laptop, any HDMI cable will do. Lindy is just one company that manufactures a wide range of cables of varying lengths at affordable prices.
